- The mold which bottom is opened is set on the water cooled copper board and heated up and hold at above the metal melting point and cast, then the water cooled copper board is drawn down with controlled speed. Thus solidifying speed is controlled and make continuous one directional solidification possible.
- By setting the selector circuit, which selects one crystal from one-directional pillar shaped crystals, at the bottom of the mold, single crystallization can be made.
